Has anyone seen the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar with Janet Jackson on the cover? She’s rocking a blue swimsuit – I mean, it’s December, so why not? Of course, the whole point of the seasonally inappropriate apparel is to make sure you don’t overlook her “killer body.” The secrets of said body will be revealed, no doubt, inside.
Not that she hasn’t revealed them already. This summer, after she dropped 60 pounds, she appeared on the cover of US Weekly sporting a bikini and a suspicious six-pack. I mean, she claims she ballooned to 180 pounds, then lost 60. Given that she’s 5-foot-4, PhotoShop may have been one of the secrets to her washboard abs. Nonetheless, the cover was US Weekly’s top seller in 2006.
Maybe that’s why the bathing suit is back, along with a new batch of secrets for getting even skinnier. Which could all be summed up in one sentence: Make sure your career depends on it. When Janet decided to get in shape, she had an upcoming album release on the line and seven days a week to devote to the cause. So while it’s tempting to pick up her secrets to dropping 60 pounds in a couple of months, you might want to give yourself a little extra time.
